To obtain similar effects is easy. First you have to install Gimp then you have to install some plug-ins. One of the best for Gimp are <a href="http://gimpfx-foundry.sourceforge.net/">Fx-Foundry</a>. Type in the mighty Google Fx-Foundry and you will find all the help you need. After installation for the LOMO effect choose Fx-foundry > Photo > Effects > LOMO. You have two types of effects to choose from.
